Bassets as companionsThe Basset Hound has for centuries been bred with certain characteristics that fortuitously make them close to the ideal canine companion. Born to be affable and amenable they adapt to their secondary role in life as canine companions with great pleasure. Bassets are renown couch warmers and given the opportunity will not only work their way into your heart, they will also be snoring on your armchair at the least encouragement. Understanding this, we here at LYNSLUV Bassets raise our puppies so that they leave our care healthy, happy and well adjusted. South Australia South Australia is a wonderful place to raise such special dogs as the Basset Hound. With wooded acres to roam and beaches to swim. Life for a LYNSLUV Basset is quite idyllic. Our property consists of 80 acres of fields and woods surrounded by hundreds of acres of open farmland. As we have a policy of returning our property to native woodland, we have an abundance of wildlife for our Bassets to sniff and snuffle at. With game trails miles long and unpopulated beaches to roam, LYNSLUV is as close to Basset heaven as you could wish. |
Health and welfareLike all living creatures Basset Hounds need certain things in their lives to maintain them in their best condition. Some things are simple to understand, like adequate fencing to stop them wandering, others, like a stimulating and secure psychological environment, are sometimes harder to understand, but no less important for the long term well being of the Basset. As a LYNSLUV Basset owner, our many years of practical, hands on experience with these delightful dogs is always at your disposal. |
Basset Hound picturesBasset Hounds make great photography subjects. Dubbed the clowns of the canine world they always seem to be just perfect for that happy snap and irrespective of whether the Basset is a day old or many years old, they always take a great picture. That is why on our site here at LYNSLUV Bassets you will find dozens and dozens of pictures of Bassets. Most are of our breeding, but if you have a picture you wish to show the world you are more than welcome to send it along and we will post it for you. |

A stunning red and white bitch of outstanding temperament Jazz has carved out her place in South Australia's busy and competitive Show circuit. Jazz comes from a long line of Show stoppers and as such will become an integral part of our future breeding program. We are expecting great things from her.
